The legend of Lilith developed extensively during the Middle Ages, in the tradition of Aggadah, the Zohar, and Jewish mysticism. For example, in the 13th-century writings of Isaac ben Jacob ha-Cohen, Lilith left Adam after she refused to become subservient to him and then would not return to the Garden of Eden after she had coupled with the archangel Samael. Sometimes called Little Mizz-Behaving, some would roll with laughter, while others boohooed disapprovingly, and still others sat waiting for one of her pranks to catch up with her. On this day she decided to hover over the pond teasing the Lancer fish with worms. Uhoh! Watch out Ophelia, cause there are even deadlier fish in that pond, that jump a light higher.
