My Fantasy Character was created by Armorbeast

One of the many projects we have had at DSA is Worlds of Shadow. It is being created for you to explore and to develop your own art and maybe some products for. A big part of this is to create a fantasy identity for yourself using what's available. Thus, the question is who would you be if you could be a fantasy character? Can you develop a concept but not base it on an existing franchise? Would you be a vampire? A minotaur? A gorgon? What would be your fantasy counterpart and what would be their backstory?

Worlds of Shadow is based on a bit of real history as there are doorways between Earth and the thirteen Worlds of Shadow just as there are doorways between these worlds. The idea is based on a game concept I had where you arrive on one of these worlds and begin playing. If you stop, you basically remain on the world where you've chosen to stop play in. Your character has decided this is where they will live and they no longer wish to continue the game.

You will notice I added one world called Sakkara to the Worlds of Shadow category. I am revising the concepts behind each a bit and may rename a few of them. Sakkara is based on vampires and has a strong Egyptian theme. Half the world lay in darkness where water is replaced by blood and your non vampire characters have to bring their own or find the hidden places where real water still exists. This is the southern part of Sakkara. The northern part is a largely desert region of neverending sunlight where vampires are different because they live in a subterranean world where humans and other fantasy characters live in the world above. Between these two regions is a more temperate region with rain forests and mountains which is where a more Mediterranean feel exists under a Balkans cultural influence so you have more of a traditional vampire feel.

When you develop your counterpart, they can live on the thirteen Worlds of Shadow or be from Earth. Your character can be a player or settled where they choose to live. Ancient tribes on Earth and lost civilizations exist on these worlds so that maybe you want to base your character on a member of the Carni or even a Neanderthal. These worlds will mix characters and life from Earths past with fantasy characters and each will have a theme all it's own. With Sakkara it's vampires and ancient Egypt as one example. We will have a world for the Fae with it's Earth-like cultures as another example.

We hope you will consider participating in this project in the future. But for now, who would you be if you existed in these worlds? An Orc? A Faerie? A dino rider? Maybe you want to go a bit wild on Ozlandia which will be based more on more of a through the looking glass identity. I'll be working more to get this restarted. But there's no reason you can't go ahead and envision yourself as a fantasy character.

Who would you be?

The video I posted was to illustrate the effort you could make in creating your character. Mix and match different items, maybe retexture them to your liking and morph your own character... or buy one that's premade but maybe alter it a little to make them all your own. Because it's fantasy, if you're a guy who wants to be a female elf or a gal who wants to be a male minotaur, we won't judge or allow others to troll you. It's up to you as it's your fantasy and if you share updates as you develop them, maybe other members can make suggestions for you (just be sure to let them know if suggestions are ok with you).
