Star Trek Fan Vid... AI Done Right? was created by Armorbeast
I know some of you loathe AI but I wanted to show you something that illustrates it does have a place. This is a fan video made by people who love the original Star Trek but who wanted to do a true homage to it rather than something flaky. Where most fear AI such as replacing people in film, this shows the potential to instead... expand upon it and fill in the gaps. Most want the original series preserved but, as most of my Star Trek fans admit, they would like to see a more modern interpretation with more advanced technology at their disposal. Yes, they tried to explain why they were using antiquated tech but for most, that answer was unsatisfying to say the least and insulting to many. It was explained in Star Trek Discovery I believe and it was one reason fans, well a good number of them, hated this series.

But this presents a model for what can be done with AI and I for one would like to see more. I would imagine though that, due to copyrights, they would be limited in what they could do because they're using the likeness of the original actors. But man, did I feel good watching this. We'll never see the original crew back in action except for using AI and many of us want more. I'm one who likes the idea of making the original series a bit more like TNG as they would have had tech at least that advanced.

Anyway, enough chatter. Watch it and give me your honest opinion. Not your opinion on AI, but what they did with it here. I realize some might not be able to overcome their resentment for AI but imagine what it can do if done properly.
