Many years ago (within one's lifetime of course) I wrote texted based Adventure Games for some of the oldest computers at that time....
People still participated in those paper compound novels called books. Some of us ported those paper back novel adventures into computer adventures where you can actually make your own decissions. That would influence the outcome of the adventure you experienced. While Graphical Adventure Games were still in its infancy such as The Hobbit, and King's Quest. Computers gave people an opportunity to become more immersive and be that hero or victim instead of a third wheel.
What I'm curious to know is whether that same interest still exist today for text based adventure games.
I would love to hear from you and of your opinion on this subject. You can be as objective as you want as this is a discussion to find out where our interest lay....
